Our lovingly restored 17th-century coaching inn, complete with inglenook ﬁreplace offers a restful base for locals and visiting tourists and businessfolk alike.
A Free House, the bar is the perfect venue for pre or post-meal drinks. Well stocked with wines, spirits, and soft drinks, real ales are a permanent and popular feature here. The restaurant is perfect for either a leisurely lunch or as a place in which to relax at the end of a day of activity and sightseeing. Gift vouchers are of course available for those who want to treat someone to a delicious meal.
We're a child-friendly pub with a children's play area just down the road and we welcome dogs in our garden and in the bar too.
The impressive country and sea views to be enjoyed from The Hawk and Buckle become even more spectacular as you gaze further aﬁeld to the distant Blackpool Tower and the Cumbrian hills. We can’t wait to see you!
We stayed at the Inn last night. Friendly welcoming g service, lovely room and very tranquil and peaceful. We didn't get to try the evening meal however a lovely freshly made breakfast. Thank you and would highly recommend x
